Hobie Kayak Fishing Events are now in their fourteenth years and although run by Hobie, they are not limited to just Hobie kayak owners. You don’t even have to be a top kayak fishing angler to compete or even win. The emphasis is based in Hobie’s moto, “The Hobie Way of Life” and it’s all about having fun, making new friends and meeting up with old friends who all share a similar passion.

The Hobie Fishing Competitions are Bream tournaments but this, at the request of the “non bream fishos” Hobie have included a pre event targeting bass.

If you want to see more of the Hobie Fishing rounds being held in Queensland, then the local kayak fishing people need to support the Hobie fishing events and this first bass kayak fishing event with be a great one. With the amount of Bass fishers we have in the state, Queensland should be well represented.
